For more information, contact: ATPI ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF 2005 OFFICERS AND TRUSTEESWASHINGTON, DC - The American Tax Policy Institute (ATPI) is pleased to announce the election of its Officers and Trustees for 2005. Dr. Rudolph G. Penner, will serve as President, Phillip L. Mann will be Vice Chair, and Michael Hirschfeld will be Treasurer. Penner is a Senior Fellow at the Urban Institute in Washington, DC and a former Director of the Congressional Budget Office. Mann works for Miller & Chevalier Chartered in Washington, DC, and Hirschfeld works for Dechert LLP in New York City. Roger Wheeler will continue to serve as the Secretary. Wheeler is Chief Tax Officer of the General Motors Corporation. Three individuals were re-elected for additional terms as ATPI Trustees: Leonard E. Burman, The Urban Institute, Washington, DC; Timothy J. McCormally, Tax Executives Institute, Washington, DC; and Michael L. Schler, Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, New York, NY.
